Serves 5 - 6
1 pound peeled, seedless watermelon
8 ounces hulled strawberries (7-9 strawberries)
13 ounces dry white wine
3 ounces vodka
2 ounces Cointreau or other triple sec
2 ounces fresh squeezed orange juice
Frozen strawberries and watermelon to use as ice!
In a blender, puree the watermelon and strawberries until liquefied. Pour the puree through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher. Stir in the white wine, vodka, Cointreau and orange juice. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight. Before serving, stir again and distribute evenly into 6 frozen fruit-filled wine glasses. Garnish with fresh strawberries.
